While Canadian F1 driver Lance Stroll seems to be facing problems at the moment, the organisers of the race in his home country definitely are not.

It has been announced that the Canadian Grand Prix will be on the F1 calendar until 2029, therefore extending the contract they held until 2024 by another five years.

In an interview with Autosport, the promoter of the race, Francois Dumontier. indicated that they will improve the track over time, in cooperation with the city of Montreal, and that Canadian driver Lance Stroll has helped boost ticket sales due to chavanistic pride.

If we could have more races that create loads of excitement, for example the 2011 and 2014 races, in future years, that would be fantastic for F1 and the whole of Canada.
