After Felipe Massa had a test with the Jaguar Formula E team last month, it has been revealed that the Brazilian held talks with the Formula E outfit regarding a drive, before retaking his seat at Williams following the departure of Valtteri Bottas to Mercedes due to Nico Rosberg’s shock retirement.

It had been reported that a pre-agreement was in place for Massa to drive for Jaguar in the 2017/18 Formula E Championship, however in an interview with Autosport, Massa denied this. He did however go on to say that he did have talks with the electric racing team, and that he felt the need to honour the commitment of testing the Jaguar Formula E car, as he had agreed to doing so before rejoining Williams.
